How far along? 35 weeks, 5 more (very long weeks) to go!
Baby size: Still my little honeydew :) approx. 4.2-5.8 lb and 17-18 inches
Maternity clothes: All the time!
Stretch marks: Some newer red ones on top of my belly. I can tell Meredith didn't sit near as high up because I am getting new stretch marks there, but not on the lower portion where all my old ones are.
Sleep: Fairly well, still getting up to go to the bathroom a lot. Plus after I work I have more leg cramps that tend to keep me up, but overall I can't complain. Really wish I could just go to bed and sleep for a week straight.
Gender: A feisty little girl :)
Best moments of the week: Getting closer to meeting our new little sweet pea.
Looking forward to: Finishing up Meredith's new room and getting her moved in the first of next week.
Also, looking forward working on Peanut's room and getting things finalized in there. Oh and getting my hospital bags packed - and soon!
What I miss: Feeling normal again :(
Movement: All the time!!
Food cravings: Nothing! Food and I are at a cross road now. I really only eat because I have to, not because I want to. Although I am enjoying eating lots of watermelon and cucumbers lately. I know strange combo.
Anything making you quesy or sick? Anything and everything.
Labor signs: Well, for this week I'm going to change that to most memorable moments of the week. I worked on Monday night, I started feeling more tightness and pressure then I had been feeling. I also just felt different overall, like I had to been feeling lately. So I waited a few hours and went and laid down. Went and got something to eat and about 2:45 I decided to call the doctor. Dr. Johnson was on call and she said the only way to tell for sure if something was going on was to go in to the hospital. So I called Tom at 3 am and told him what was going on. Luckily, he had went to a Pacer's game that night and Susan was staying over to watch Meredith until I got home from work. So I left work just after 3, realizing as I was leaving that my gas tank was empty. So I stopped at the gas station by the interstate to put $20 in my car. Made it thru all the construction and horribly timed stop lights on Meridian Street. Tom had just gotten to the hospital so we went up to Labor and Delivery where they checked me into Triage #3. I changed into the fashionable hospital gown and laid down. The nurse came in and started asking question. She took my BP which was 119/80, and my HR 102. She hooked me up to the monitor and Peanut's heartbeat sounded great. She was very active and kept squirming around making loud noises on the monitor. I wasn't having any "real" contractions. Just lots of uterine activity, which in my book is still just as uncomfortable as contractions are. They checked me and I was 2 centimeters dilated. Which for 35 weeks I was happy about. I remember being only at 1 centimeter with Meredith at 37 or 38 weeks. I feel like I am progressing much faster with Peanut then I did with Meredith. Dr. Priddy was on call so she came in to say hi. They talked to Dr. Johnson and decided to just let me go home and rest. We got home around 5ish and went straight to bed. I woke up around 10ish and then went back to bed at 11 and slept until 4. Mom and Dad had planned on coming up on Tuesday anyway to watch Meredith so I could sleep. Seeing as Tom only got an hour or two of sleep himself. He decided to stay home for the day. It was a big wake up call to both of us that we aren't nearly prepared for Peanut as we were for Meredith. So he spent the whole day painting trim in Meredith's new room :) So needless to say we had a practice run this week. We know now what needs to be done and we plan on getting everything done by the first of next week.
Symptoms: Contractions, upper abdominal tightness, pelvic pressure, back pain, leg cramps, N/V, fatigue, pretty much everything you can expect being 9 months pregnant.
Belly button in or out? Pretty much even.
Wedding rings on or off? Both, depends on the day and level of swelling.
Mood: READY!
Nursery: We finally ordered Meredith's dresser for her new room. Susan surprised us by ordering her toy chest and end table too. We hadn't planned on getting that stuff until I started back to work. First coat of paint is on the trim in Meredith's room, second coat to be added soon and then we get to put all the furniture together and decorations up :) Then it's on to Peanut's room. Putting up the crib, cleaning carpets, re-organizing stuff. Anxious to get it all done!
