Week 35 Bumpdate!

35 weeks! 5 more to go :)

Mommy & Peanut

How far along? 35 weeks, 5 more (very long weeks) to go!

Baby size: Still my little honeydew :) approx. 4.2-5.8 lb and 17-18 inches

Maternity clothes: All the time!

Stretch marks: Some newer red ones on top of my belly. I can tell Meredith didn't sit near as high up because I am getting new stretch marks there, but not on the lower portion where all my old ones are.

Sleep: Fairly well, still getting up to go to the bathroom a lot. Plus after I work I have more leg cramps that tend to keep me up, but overall I can't complain. Really wish I could just go to bed and sleep for a week straight.

Gender: A feisty little girl :)

Best moments of the week: Getting closer to meeting our new little sweet pea.

Looking forward to: Finishing up Meredith's new room and getting her moved in the first of next week.
Also, looking forward working on Peanut's room and getting things finalized in there. Oh and getting my hospital bags packed - and soon!

What I miss: Feeling normal again :(

Movement: All the time!!

Food cravings: Nothing! Food and I are at a cross road now. I really only eat because I have to, not because I want to. Although I am enjoying eating lots of watermelon and cucumbers lately. I know strange combo.

Anything making you quesy or sick? Anything and everything.

Labor signs: Well, for this week I'm going to change that to most memorable moments of the week. I worked on Monday night, I started feeling more tightness and pressure then I had been feeling. I also just felt different overall, like I had to been feeling lately. So I waited a few hours and went and laid down. Went and got something to eat and about 2:45 I decided to call the doctor. Dr. Johnson was on call and she said the only way to tell for sure if something was going on was to go in to the hospital. So I called Tom at 3 am and told him what was going on. Luckily, he had went to a Pacer's game that night and Susan was staying over to watch Meredith until I got home from work. So I left work just after 3, realizing as I was leaving that my gas tank was empty. So I stopped at the gas station by the interstate to put $20 in my car. Made it thru all the construction and horribly timed stop lights on Meridian Street. Tom had just gotten to the hospital so we went up to Labor and Delivery where they checked me into Triage #3. I changed into the fashionable hospital gown and laid down. The nurse came in and started asking question. She took my BP which was 119/80, and my HR 102. She hooked me up to the monitor and Peanut's heartbeat sounded great. She was very active and kept squirming around making loud noises on the monitor. I wasn't having any "real" contractions. Just lots of uterine activity, which in my book is still just as uncomfortable as contractions are. They checked me and I was 2 centimeters dilated. Which for 35 weeks I was happy about. I remember being only at 1 centimeter with Meredith at 37 or 38 weeks. I feel like I am progressing much faster with Peanut then I did with Meredith. Dr. Priddy was on call so she came in to say hi. They talked to Dr. Johnson and decided to just let me go home and rest. We got home around 5ish and went straight to bed. I woke up around 10ish and then went back to bed at 11 and slept until 4. Mom and Dad had planned on coming up on Tuesday anyway to watch Meredith so I could sleep. Seeing as Tom only got an hour or two of sleep himself. He decided to stay home for the day. It was a big wake up call to both of us that we aren't nearly prepared for Peanut as we were for Meredith. So he spent the whole day painting trim in Meredith's new room :) So needless to say we had a practice run this week. We know now what needs to be done and we plan on getting everything done by the first of next week.

Symptoms: Contractions, upper abdominal tightness, pelvic pressure, back pain, leg cramps, N/V, fatigue, pretty much everything you can expect being 9 months pregnant.

Belly button in or out? Pretty much even.

Wedding rings on or off? Both, depends on the day and level of swelling.

Mood: READY!

Nursery: We finally ordered Meredith's dresser for her new room. Susan surprised us by ordering her toy chest and end table too. We hadn't planned on getting that stuff until I started back to work. First coat of paint is on the trim in Meredith's room, second coat to be added soon and then we get to put all the furniture together and decorations up :) Then it's on to Peanut's room. Putting up the crib, cleaning carpets, re-organizing stuff. Anxious to get it all done!

My sweet little girl

Still growing!

Such a proud big sister already!

Week 34 Bumpdate!

34 weeks!

Mommy & Peanut

How far along? 34 weeks - 6 more weeks to go!

Baby size: still a honeydew - approx. 4.2-5.8 lb and 17-18 inches

Maternity clothes: Living in them - nothing else fits anymore.

Stretch marks: Yep, my old ones are darker and I am starting to see a few red marks on top of my belly.
Dr. Johnson made a comment at my appointment this week about how cruel, all those stretch marks and I had to get new ones. How unfair :D

Sleep: Comes and goes, would be much better if I would stop having such bad leg cramps all night long.

Gender: Sweet baby girl

Best moments of the week: My doctor's appointment; I always love going and checking on her progress. She is right on schedule. Her heart rate was 130 bpm, think this was the lowest it has ever been. Measured at 35 weeks per fundal height. She said she is still head down with her little booty below my ribs :) Only gained one pound this week, puts my total at 25 lbs so far total - yeah!!!!

Looking forward to: Finishing Meredith's room and getting her moved into it in the next week or so. And then being able to work on the nursery to get everything ready for Peanut. Already have her car seat installed. My car officially has no more room in the back seat. We will definitely need a new car if we decide to have another baby.

What I miss: Being pain free and having energy to do things. And margaritas, I'm craving a really good margarita and a Blue Moon :)

Movement: She stretches and wiggles constantly. She's moving around as I type this and it is at 4 o'clock in the morning (yes, I am at work).

Food Cravings: Fruit and veggies :)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope, still getting sick whenever the mood strikes me.

Labor signs: Starting to get more menstrual like cramps, more uncomfortable and annoying then anything else.

Symptoms: I have constant back pain, my belly is always cramping or tightening, leg cramps are horrible, and just the overall feeling of exhaustion. Ready to have my body back soon.

Belly button in or out? Completely even with the rest of my belly.

Wedding rings on or off? On when I'm out of the house, usually off if I'm just at home doing stuff.

Mood: Tired, but getting more and more excited to meet our precious little peanut here very soon.

Nursery: Still a work in progress :(

My Little Honeydew.

She's keeps growing and growing.

Received these at my appointment this week.....

Time is getting so close :)

A few baby gifts we received for Peanut's from one of the nurses
I work with at the hospital.

Finally finished the closet dividers for Peanut's room;
they turned out so cute :D

Week 33 Bumpdate!

33 weeks - 7 weeks to go!

Mommy and Peanut :) Going to miss this time with just her and I.

How far along? 33 weeks, only 7 more to go :)

Baby size: this week she changed over from a winter squash to a little honeydew :)
approx: 4.2 to 5.8 lb and 17-18 inches

Maternity clothes: Loving them, majority of my non-maternity clothes don't fit anymore :/

Stretch marks: Still the same, nothing really new.

Sleep: Getting more difficult due to extremely painful leg cramps. It depends on what I have done that day on how bad they are. Some nights I am up several times on the hour because I get a really bad one in my calf or leg.

Gender: Our sweet little angel - still a girl :)

Best moments of the week: The realization that we are getting so close to meeting our sweet little girl. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I can't wait to see what she looks like and what her personality is compared to Meredith's. Peanut has been so much more active then Meredith ever was. Meredith was a very laid back baby and was pretty easy going and didn't really cry all that much. Peanut seems to be a lot more spunky already :)

Looking forward to: Easter weekend :) Looking forward to dying Easter eggs, Meredith getting her Easter basket and going on an Easter egg hunt!

What I miss: Being able to bend over! My belly is getting so much larger that just being able to bend over is getting difficult and painful. My energy level is getting lower and lower too.

Movement: Lots! She is always rolling around and stretching. She is one active baby :)

Food Cravings: Tangerine ice cream :) May have to make a trip to Lebanon after my doctor's appt next week :)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope, just get sick whenever I need to :/

Labor signs: I've been having lots of menstrual like cramps and back pain this week. I know it's just my body preparing for true labor, but they are uncomfortable and annoying. Going to ask about them at my appt next week.

Symptoms: cramps, backache, leg cramps, round ligament pain, N/V on occasion, just over all being uncomfortable.

Belly button in or out? Perfectly even with my belly :)

Wedding rings on or off? On and off. Usually don't wear them if I'm at home, but am still able to if we are out running errands.

Mood: excited - can't wait to meet Peanut :)

Nursery: No new progress on the nursery. Finally have Meredith's room emptied of all the furniture. Getting it ready to move her in there by the end of the month hopefully. Then it's time to get to work on Peanut's room!

She is getting so big!

Baby Honeydew :)

Week 32 Bumpdate!

Profile pic!

Mommy and Peanut :)

How far along? 32 weeks, only 8 more to go :)

Baby size: last week as a winter squash; approx. 2.5-3.8 lb and 15-17 inches

Maternity clothes: Couldn't live without them.

Stretch marks: Nothing new and exciting.

Sleep: comes and goes, not horrible if my leg cramps stay at bay.

Gender: G-I-R-L!

Best moments of the week: Going to the doctor and finding out Peanut is developing right on schedule. She measured at 32 weeks, HR was 150 bpm. Dr. Ball joked that you would have thought I just drank my sugar drink for my glucose test again. Gained 4 lbs, which wasn't to bad considering the swelling I've experienced this week. Right at 24 lbs total, which is awesome compared to what I gained with Meredith. Dr. Ball said that she is head down with her face towards my back. Either her knees or bottom are pushing out at my left side she said :) I found Peanut the cutest little gift this week for Meredith to give to her sissy when she comes to see her at the hospital. It's a little security blanket with elephants all over it. So adorable :) Also found a cute little photo album to put pics of my two girls in. Oh and some thank you notes for any gifts we receive after Peanut is born.

Looking forward to: working more on Meredith's big girl room. She is getting so excited about changing her room!

What I miss: my energy level and being able to sit/lie/stand/move comfortably.

Movement: Constantly!

Food Cravings: Starbucks! I can't get enough of their venti Carmel frappe :) Trying to limit my intake, but they are just so good!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing particular, just get sick whenever the mood strikes me :(

Labor signs: nothing intense, I can tell though that my body is already starting to prepare for the laboring process.

Symptoms: my energy level decreases more and more each week. I've started having menstrual like cramping too. Back aches if I stand or walk to much at one time. Oh and leg cramps like you wouldn't believe. Hardly slept any on Saturday night because I kept waking up to horrific leg cramps several times an hour :/

Belly button in or out? Even with the rest of my belly.

Wedding rings on or off? On, but I take them off it I start feeling really swollen.

Mood: getting more and more excited the closer my due date gets.

Nursery: Finally got the majority of the stuff out of Meredith's big girl room. Going to work on painting the trim this next weekend. Hopefully we can get Meredith moved in by the end of the month and we can get to work on personalizing the nursery for Peanut :)

I am really starting to feel huge this week.....

Growing and growing......
